短期海外交流プログラム　受入留学生が日本語を学びました。Short-term overseas exchange program: Accepted international students learned Japanese.

令和５年度の短期受入プログラム（夏季）で来日し工学部の研究室で学ぶ留学生が、日本語講師による日本語クラスを受講しました。今回参加した留学生は、マレーシアからの留学生１２名と台湾からの留学生４名です。

International students who came to Japan on the short-term program (summer) in 2023 to study at a laboratory in the Faculty of Engineering took Japanese classes by Japanese language instructors. The international students who participated this time were 12 students from Malaysia and 4 students from Taiwan.

日本語クラスは２回開催され、１回目のクラスでは日本語の挨拶や自己紹介、日にちや時間の言い方についてなど、基本的なことを学びました。２回目のクラスでは、買い物などの実践会話の練習も行います。

The Japanese class was held twice, and in the first class they learned basic things such as greetings, self-introductions, and how to say the date and time in Japanese. In the second class, they will also practice practical conversations such as shopping situations.

留学生は熱心に講師の話を聴き、日本語を楽しく学んでいました。

短期受入プログラムに参加する留学生が台湾から来日しました。An international student came to Japan from Taiwan to participate in the short-term acceptance program.

理工学研究科は国際教育プログラムの一環として短期交流プログラムを実施しています。

The Graduate School of Science and Engineering conducts short-term exchange programs as part of its international education program.

令和５年１月１０日火曜日に、短期受入プログラムに参加する留学生１名が台湾の国立陽明交通大学より来日しました。留学生は研究室に約１か月間滞在し、研究室の学生たちと研究活動や文化交流を行います。

On Tuesday, January 10, 2023, one international student participating in the short-term acceptance program came to Japan from National Yangming Jiaotong University in Taiwan. She will stay in the laboratory for one month, engaging in research activities and cultural exchanges with students in the laboratory.

翌１月１１日水曜日に、留学生はオリエンテーションに参加し工学部スタッフより滞在中の注意などの説明を受けました。また、中畑国際連携委員長がウェルカムスピーチを行い、『滞在中に積極的に研究活動やイベントに参加し、本学学生とたくさん交流し、有意義な時間を過ごして欲しい。』と述べました。

The next day, she participated in an orientation session and received an explanation from the Faculty of Engineering staffs about precautions to be taken during her stay. In addition, International Collaboration Committee Chairman Nakahata gave a welcome speech, saying, “I hope that you will actively participate in research activities and events during your stay, interact with our students a lot, and spend a meaningful time. ”

短期受入プログラムに参加しているインドネシア留学生の修了式を行いました。A completion ceremony was held for Indonesian students participating in the short-term acceptance program.

令和４年１１月１７日木曜日に，工学部の短期受入プログラムに参加したインドネシア留学生１０名のプログラム修了式を行いました。

On Thursday, November 17, 2022, a program completion ceremony was held for 10 Indonesian international students who participated in the short-term acceptance program of the Faculty of Engineering.

留学生たちは，１０月下旬から１か月間本学に滞在し，研究室で実験やリサーチ等の活動を行い，休日には松山市内観光に出かけたりしました。

They stayed at our university for one month from late October, conducting experiments and research in the laboratory, and went sightseeing in Matsuyama City on their days off.

修了式では，中畑国際連携委員長より留学生一人一人に修了証が手渡されました。工学部国際連携委員会と受入研究室の教員や学生らも参加し，プログラムを修了した留学生たちに大きな拍手を送りました。

At the completion ceremony, each international student received a certificate of completion from International Cooperation Committee Chairman Nakahata. Members of the Faculty of Engineering’s International Collaboration Committee, faculty and students from the host laboratory also participated, giving a big round of applause to the international students who completed the program.

短期受入プログラム・留学生が校外学習で肱川の治水工事現場を訪れました。International students from the short-term acceptance program visited the Hijikawa River flood control construction site on a field trip.

令和４年１１月１１日金曜日に、短期受入プログラムで来日しているインドネシア留学生が校外学習に出かけました。

On Friday, November 11, 2022, Indonesian international students visiting Japan on a short-term program went on a field trip.

今年度は、肱川緊急治水対策河川事務所のご協力で、肱川の２箇所の治水工事現場を訪れ、作業員の方から説明を受けました。留学生は日本の先端技術を活用した治水対策の取り組みを学び、実際に掘削機械のモニターを確認するなどして、非常に有意義な体験をすることができました。

This year, with the cooperation of the Hijikawa River Emergency Flood Control Measures River Office, they visited two flood control construction sites on the Hijikawa River and received explanations from the workers. They had a very meaningful experience, learning about flood control measures that utilize Japan’s cutting-edge technology and actually checking the monitors of excavation machines.

令和４年度の短期派遣プログラム報告会を開催しました。We held a short-term dispatch program report meeting for 2022.

令和４年１１月１０日木曜日にグリーンホールで、短期派遣プログラムに参加した学生による報告会を開催しました。

On Thursday, November 10, 2022, a report meeting was held at Green Hall by students who participated in the short-term dispatch program.

理工学研究科（工学系）では、大学院学生の国際交流プログラムの一環として短期派遣プログラムを実施しています。今年度は、インドネシアのバンドン工科大学に４名とガジャマダ大学に２名の学生を派遣しました。

The Graduate School of Science and Engineering (Department of Engineering) runs a short-term dispatch program as part of the international exchange program for graduate students. This year, we sent four students to Bandung Institute of Technology and two students to Gadjah Mada University in Indonesia.

派遣学生が留学で得た貴重な経験を他の学生たちに伝えるため、毎年報告会を開催しています。報告会には、教員や学生に加え、短期受入プログラムで滞在中の留学生も含めた約３０名が参加しました。

We hold a report meeting every year by our dispatched students to share with other students the valuable experiences they gained while studying abroad. Approximately 30 people participated in the meeting, including faculty, students, and international students staying on a short-term program.

派遣学生６名がそれぞれの体験を報告し、派遣先大学の研究室での活動や現地の食事、人々との交流など、興味深い話に参加者は熱心に耳を傾け、各発表後には様々な質問が参加者から出ていました。コロナ禍の留学で現地の病院にかかった苦い経験も、現地の人の助けを受けてかけがえのない思い出になったと話した学生もいました。

The six dispatched students reported on their experiences, and the participants listened intently to interesting stories such as activities in the research lab at the host university, local food, and interactions with local people. Questions were asked by the participants. Some students said that the bitter experience of being admitted to a local hospital while studying abroad during the coronavirus pandemic turned into an irreplaceable memory after receiving help from local people.

派遣学生は、現地に足を運んでのみ味わえる経験があり、時間のある学生の内に是非本プログラムで留学をして欲しいと伝えていました。

The dispatched students told the audience that It was an experience that could only be experienced by visiting the country and that they wanted other students to study abroad in this program while they still had the time.
